Enjoying the sun and the company!
A journey in Lady Rhodes and Lady Victoria on a warm summer early evening was enjoyed by the Wednesday afternoon Tea & Cake Group. The boats were boarded at Shepley Marina. Volunteers on the Safe Anchor Trust sailed the two narrow boats along the canal, river and through several locks to Kirklees Lower lock and back. Everyone took a picnic on the trip. Ducks, ducklings and kingfishers were among the many birds seen as we motored leisurely on the water.
The Group were taken from the Tolson Museum to Shepley Marina and back again in a veteran single deck bus driven and owned by Kevin Waites. It was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by all.
