H.G. Wells and the Birth of Science Fiction – Autumn Series of Lectures

In this promenade lecture Merrick Burrow and Allegra Hartley invite you to join them as they explore the Tolson Museum’s collections of natural history and technology, considering the ways in which H.G. Wells’s science fiction novels The Time Machine, The War of the Worlds and The Island of Dr Moreau explore the implications of scientific discovery for everyday lives in the twentieth century and beyond. This event is part of Sci-Fest Yorkshire 2015.
